patches

patches brought me my favorite OCs, the ghouls: patches, peach, lucky, and rover. it's all about the cemetery's caretaker and his brother finding out that there are supernatural creatures living in the cemetery with them. there's also some kind of conflict with the fey living in the woods and maybe a dash of human based mystery thrown in.

the ghouls? the ghouls. *italian hands* i just love them so much. they're so chef's kiss!! i've always loved writing about supernatural creatures and when i started writing the ghouls, something finally clicked. i mean, who doesn't love a corpse eating half human, half jackle, half hyena thing that wanders around the cemetery stealing your tea in the middle of the night?

the vampire in 2c

i actually kinda finished this one?? patches is definitely unfinished, but tvi2c does have an ending. this one is a human/vampire romance that really needs rewrites. but i did finish it initially. it also brought me one of my other favorite characters to write: aleksandru mstislav. (i know he needs a new name i know its two first names i wrote this in like 2017 for nanowrimo shhhh shhhhhhhh i'll fix it in post).

but the whole plot is that someone is stalking elle and pietro is the only one who can help her. pietro is also a vampire who moved into elle's apartment building to get some peace and quiet for a few centuries and immediatley finds out his apartment is between one that's haunted and another one that's owned by a saxophone player.

the first draft of this one is 90% snappy dialogue but it was 2017 and snappy dialogue was where it was at, y'know?

by any other name

i love peter cushing van helsing. that's it. this one also needs a title change. basically peter cushing van helsing finds a woman running through a graveyard and she helps him hunt vampires and they eventually fall in love. this one was really self indulgent and i loved writing it.

i'm also like kinda trying to bridge the gap between this being fanfiction and making it into original fiction. because van helsing is technically in the public domain so. i can do it. if i ever get around to it, lol.
