support your local library!
free books? don't mind if i do...
but what if i want to buy a book?
- IndieBound - a tool for finding local indie bookstores near you!
- Bookshop.org - a site where you can order books from your favorite indie bookstore online
- Abe Books - ebay but for books
- Pango Books - Mercari but for books
- but also actually check Mercari because sometimes people will sell their special editions on there.
- Thrift Books - an online used book store
- BookBub - a site that tells you when ebooks are on sale. can be filtered by both genre AND retailer for those of you who prefer to stay away from Amazon.
- Chirp - discounted audio books. the only downside is you HAVE to use their app to listen to them and there's no way to download mp3s. their sales, however, are excellent.
- Libro.fm - an Audible alternative. you can either listen in their app OR download the audio and use your mp3 player/phone.
